The Irish government has recently announced significant enhancements to the Solar PV Scheme, aimed at encouraging businesses in Ireland to adopt solar energy solutions. The amendments to the existing Non-Domestic Microgeneration Scheme, operated by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), will provide increased funding ranging from €2,700 to €162,600, enabling a broader range of businesses to make the switch to solar power.

The expanded grant supports will cover installation sizes greater than 6 kWp up to 1,000 kWp (1 MW) capacity, making it accessible to small local shops, large manufacturing facilities, public buildings, sports clubs, and community organisations. With an installation size of 1,000 kWp accommodating approximately 2,500 solar PV panels, even large factories and warehouses can benefit from this initiative.
