Little Island is largely commercial, and commercial roofs suit solar better than domestic ones do: they are big, flat or shallow-pitched, unshaded, and the building is using power at exactly the hours the panels are generating. Most of what is produced is used on site.

Up to €1,800 towards a domestic solar PV system of 4kWp or above, and up to €300 towards a home EV charger. We handle the paperwork and the grant is deducted from what you pay.
Since October 2021 rooftop solar is exempt from planning permission for most Irish homes. The exceptions are protected structures and a small number of zones near airports.
A survey first to confirm the roof and size the system properly, then a typical install of one to two days. Roof work and the electrical side usually run at the same time.
